Charging at Home via the socket or installing a charging station?
Business owners are
well-versed in a variety of methods for promoting their enterprises. A number
of methods have been used to attract customers, including flyers with special
rates and social media campaigns. The wheels of electric vehicles (EVs) are
propelled by electric motors powered by batteries. To keep the car running, it
is critical that the battery be fully charged. It's as simple as filling up a
car's tank.
EV charging stations,
on the other hand, are an alternative that many owners may have overlooked.
Businesses may be able to show their care for the environment and preparation
for the energy transition by providing this service to their employees and
consumers.
At-home charging is safe and efficient
There is no chance of
overheating or a damaged socket if you have a EV
charging station at home. In order to avoid overheating, charging
stations have been engineered to give more power.
At the beginning of
your electrical installation, a charging station for your house is linked to a
separate, protected circuit. At a charging station, the automobile is able to
charge more quickly since there is no
need for an artificial power limiting.
The lower cost of
charging at home rather than at a public station is one of the most compelling
features of having a charging station.
Using electricity to
charge an electric car consumes a fourth of the total power supply. Charging
stations automatically adjust their own power consumption based on the amount
of electricity being used by other connected devices. You may set them to only
charge at night, view your charging usage online, and take advantage of a
variety of other convenient features.
Bring a charger back to your house.
It might be difficult
to find appropriate EV charging station in India because to
the country's dense population and practical availability. As a result, make
sure to bring your car's home charger with you as well. Then, at the very
least, you may use it to locate a power outlet when you arrive. In addition,
some parking facilities allow you to recharge your vehicle using a standard
wall outlet.
Installing a charging station necessitates a few things.
Fix or wall-mounted charging station
There are two ways to install a charging
station. You have the option of mounting it on a separate pole or mounting it
as a wall model (also known as a "wall box"). It has no effect on the
charging speed of the battery. Calculate your EV's parking distance from your
location (so you can save on cable length).
A single-phase or three-phase system
The standard 230V connector is used for a
1-phase charging column. This provides a minimum of 16A of power. There is now
a maximum charging power of 3.7kW available. At least one phase (1x30a and/or
1x40a) is required for every house in the India. Three-phase electricity powers
a charging column with three phases (400V instead of 230V). There is a maximum
of 11 kW of charging capacity.
